Born in Detroit, Michigan raised in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Lantz Germaine Mills brings both education and experience to the occasion of ministry and the preaching assignment. For twenty-one years, he has championed the gospel message with great joy and passion and has distinguished himself as one who is truly committed to the rigors of continuing education and academic excellence. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree from Belhaven University (Jackson, Mississippi), the Master of Theology Degree from Middle Florida Theological Seminary (Ocala, Florida) and earned the Doctor of Theology Degree from Middle Florida Theological Seminary (Ocala, Florida).

December 19, 2008, Dr. Lantz Mills was overwhelmingly called to serve and lead the New Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City, Florida, as their second Pastor. Under the power of God, Dr. Mills was used to stimulate fresh energy, implement trail-blazing initiatives, and accelerate notable growth into a traditional church context.

Dr. Mills’ leadership, led the church in an internal campaign to purchase 12 acres, remodel the inside of the sanctuary and build a multi-purpose facility. Doctor Mills served New Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church until his resignation on June 30, 2020. ​ Dr. Mills served as the Chairman of the Board and then Second Vice Moderator of the Suwannee River Progressive Missionary Baptist Association. He is an instructor in the Florida General Baptist Congress of Christian Education and serves as the Director of Convention Planning for Florida General Baptist Convention. Dr. Mills serves as the First Vice-Moderator of the West Coast Baptist Association. He is a financial and active member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). On June 4, 2020, Dr. Mills was called to be the fourth Pastor of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 47. Having been nurtured in a distinguished tradition of Christian servant leaders, Dr. Mills’ father (Dr. Larry G. Mills) served as the third Pastor of the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church from 1988 until his retirement on December 31, 2020. Dr. Mills is the devoted parent of five darling daughters and four debonair sons.
